This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
What we collect
When you place an order, you give us your name, email address, phone number, shipping address, and any notes you add. This is entered on our order page and sent to us as a WhatsApp message.
When you message us, we hold the content of that conversation, including your phone number and display name.
When you use the site, our host records technical data automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring site.
We do not collect payment information. Payment is by UPI, arranged directly between you and us. Card numbers, bank credentials and UPI PINs are never entered on this website and never reach us.
Why we use it
- To process, pack and deliver your order.
- To contact you about that order — stock, totals, tracking, certificates of analysis.
- To answer questions and handle claims.
- To keep accounting records.
- To maintain and secure the website.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell it.
Who else sees it
WhatsApp and Meta. Our ordering runs through WhatsApp. When you send us an order, that message and its contents pass through Meta's systems and are governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy in addition to this one. If you would prefer not to use WhatsApp, email us instead and we will handle your order that way.
Shopify. This site runs on Shopify, which hosts it and processes technical data on our behalf.
Couriers. Your name, address and phone number go to the delivery company handling your parcel, because they cannot deliver it otherwise.
Authorities. Where we are legally required to disclose information, we will.
We do not share your data with anyone else.
Cookies
The site uses cookies necessary for it to work — remembering the contents of your cart between pages, for example — and cookies our host sets for security and basic analytics. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though the cart will stop working if you do.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for 8 years to meet accounting and tax obligations. WhatsApp conversations are kept while the account is active. Website technical logs are kept for a short period set by our host.
Your rights
You may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal data of yours we hold and what we have done with it.
- Correct data that is wrong, incomplete or out of date.
- Erase data we no longer need for the purpose it was collected, or where you withdraw consent.
- Stop processing your data, though we may then be unable to complete an order.
Email trust.biotechlifelab@protonmail.com with your order number. We respond within 30 days.
Security
We use HTTPS across the site, restrict access to order data to people who need it, and do not store payment credentials at all. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.
Age
This site is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We will update this policy as our practices change, and the date at the top will change with it.
